As part of the digital transformation and artificial intelligence governance initiative, the Afro-Asian Foundation for Digital Economy, Investment and Entrepreneurship organised a workshop on information security and cybersecurity issues. Dr. Mohamed Hamza, an information security and cybersecurity expert, gave an awareness lecture on this topic, attended by a group of elites from the former armed forces, the interior ministry, lawyers, media professionals, and experts in information technology and cybersecurity. Dr Hamza discussed the laws issued by the Arab Republic of Egypt in the field of information security and cybersecurity, emphasising the importance of international cooperation in addressing the challenges facing cybersecurity. The workshop included the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Afro-Asian Foundation and Sabaq Technology Solutions, with the aim of establishing an integrated partnership between the two parties to achieve sustainable development and artificial intelligence governance. The Afro-Asian Foundation was represented at the signing by Major General Mohamed Abu Zeid, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and Counselor Ahmed Al-Saudi, Founding President of the Foundation, while Sabaq was represented by Dr Ibrahim Sabaq. The agreement aims to enhance cooperation between the two parties in the field of business and project development, reduce carbon emissions and energy consumption, with a focus on sustainable development and artificial intelligence governance. This workshop comes within the framework of the Afro-Asian Foundation's efforts to raise awareness of the importance of information security and cybersecurity, and to exchange experiences and insights among experts and specialists in this field. Major General Mohamed Abu Zeid, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, noted that the Afro-Asian Foundation works to promote international cooperation in the field of information security and cybersecurity, and to develop effective strategies to address the challenges facing cybersecurity. For his part, Counselor Ahmed Al-Saudi, Founding President of Afro-Asian Digital Economy, pointed out that the agreement signed with Sabaq Technology Solutions aims to enhance cooperation between the two parties in the field of business and project development, artificial intelligence governance, carbon emission reduction, and energy consumption reduction. The attendees of the workshop, who were public figures and experts in the field of technology, emphasised the importance of international cooperation in addressing the challenges facing cybersecurity and raising awareness of the importance of information security. This workshop is part of a series of events organised by the Afro-Asian Foundation to raise awareness of the importance of information security and cybersecurity and to develop effective strategies to address the challenges facing cybersecurity.
